ROOT was a smart connected gardening system that helped anyone grow a garden indoors year-round, automatically from their smartphone. The concept evolved from a graduate thesis project exploring ways to bring gardening into food deserts. Ultimately, building a hardware company is challenging, and the cost of production was too high.
